What I’ve decided is that people lacking in self-control have a pressing need to control others. Either it’s a perceptual problem of misdirected energy, or it’s a practical problem based on the fact that they simply can’t do for themselves and need others to do for them just to survive. People who “can’t boil water” or are “all thumbs,” are familiar. Perhaps we don’t pay too much attention because, if they’ve got the gift of gab they soon learn to get others to do for them. Those that don’t, have to steal and then they end up in prison where their needs are met automatically.
